This year the Philadelphia SHRM Chapter is introducing a new award to benefit the HR community. In addition to the annual Student Merit Scholarship awarded to one undergraduate and one graduate student, PSHRM is excited to announce the establishment of its Creating Partnerships Award. This year five (5) HR professionals or recent graduates will be awarded memberships to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), one of the world’s largest professional associations devoted to human resource management. Deadline for nominations is Friday, May 30, 2008.
PSHRM is seeking interested HR candidates who are looking for an opportunity to partner with the organization and assist in the commitment to developing our people and our profession. It is our vision to be your primary advocate and resource for advancing the HR profession and HR’s value in the greater Philadelphia community, and, you could be a part of the success. Recipients should be open to enhancing their skills and network by participating in the chapter’s professional/career development, networking opportunities, volunteering opportunities, and events. Who is eligible?
- HR professionals or recent HR graduates who are currently not SHRM members.
What is the award process?
- Current SHRM Members will nominate candidates through the online nomination form.
- PSHRM’s Scholarship Committee will evaluate nominations and choose winners.
When will the awards be announced?
- The Creating Partnerships Awards will be presented at PSHRM’s Spring Networking Event on Wednesday, June 13, 2008, 5:30 pm at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
