FOR THE START OF 2008...
PSHRM MEMBERSHIP DRIVE SUCCESS

The Philadelphia SHRM Chapter was confident we could build our membership with your help to achieve the goal of having 2010 members by 2010. From January to March 2008, we focused heavily on the increase of Philadelphia SHRM members. We provided two incentives for anyone who referred a new person to the chapter which increased participation in this membership drive.

SO WHAT WAS IN IT FOR THE REFEREE…FREE STUFF

Current Philadelphia SHRM Members who refer non-members to the chapter were entitled to one of two options free:

• Option A: Free pass to the Philadelphia SHRM Networking Social on Wednesday, June 11, 2008
• Option B: A $25 gift donation made in your name to the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania

CONTINUED SUPPORT OF INVITING NEW FACES TO THE CHAPTER

Even though our membership drive has ended, we don’t want you to stop spreading the word about the incredible value the Philadelphia SHRM brings to the HR professional.  Please forward the chapter information to any person in HR you think will benefits from participating in our organization.
 
To become a member of the Philadelphia SHRM Chapter, here’s what you need to do:

if you are not a SHRM Member:

• You must first be a national member of SHRM, so, if you are not a national member, please visit www.shrm.org and obtain a membership form to join nationally.
• Complete the membership form and choose Philadelphia or #002 as your designation chapter. Your membership with the Philadelphia SHRM Chapter is free!
• Once you join nationally, our chapter membership is FREE! You must complete the Online Designation Form in its entirety (including the name and email address of the person who referred you) and within one week after joining, you will start receiving the chapter’s emails on upcoming chapter events, Member Center and additional resources.

if you are a SHRM Member:

• Since you already have a National SHRM membership, our chapter’s membership is FREE to you!  The only thing to do, is complete the Online Designation Form in its entirety (including the name and email address of the person who referred you) and within one week after joining, you will start receiving the chapter’s emails on upcoming chapter events, Member Center and additional resources.
