Helping HR to Measure Up: Arming the “Soft” Function with Hard Metrics

Today, there is little doubt in the board room that employees make the difference to business success; they are often labeled the company’s greatest asset. Effective measurement is an essential skill for HR professionals to master if the HR function is to firmly position itself as a strategic function in the organization. Yet, many organizations still believe that HR is in the business of “soft and fuzzy,” un-quantifiable metrics.

For HR executives to become strategic business partners within their organizations, it is critical for them to recognize and promote the link between employee engagement, customer experiences and business outcomes.

The session will focus on:

  • How effective measurement needs to include the link between human capital, customer experiences and business results
  • The relationship between HR interventions and people performance
  • The path to effective measurement
  • Strategies for helping the HR function become more ‘strategic’
