| Philadelphia SHRM events are designed to bring dynamic speakers who will provide insight into current and future trends in the human resource profession to our 1,500 members. The goal of our programming is to give members, and nonmembers, access to relevant and pertinent information contributing to the advancement in careers.
This year the chapter is introducing a new wave of programming. Members are encouraged to participate in these programs throughout the year, and non-member attendees are always welcome.

The highest profile events include:
- Professional Development Series:
Half-day programs jammed-packed with incredible speakers, content and networking opportunities. These events will take place in November, January, March and May.
- Networking Events:
Social opportunity to enjoy an evening of meeting and re-connecting with professionals without a set agenda. These events will be offered in September and June.
- Webcast Series:
Dynamic webcast sessions which bring value to the desktop and phone without leaving the office. These events will take place once a month starting September through June.
- Career Management Forums:
Taking careers to the next level – An interactive opportunity for HR professionals currently working, in college, or in-transition to learn career tips from professionals. These events will take place in October, December, February, April and June.
- Leadership Series:
Empowering HR Leaders for Business Growth in 2008 - A program designed for companies who desire to immerse their Human Resource high potentials in a transformational experience that transcends the acquisition of knowledge, skills and tools, and fosters professional intelligence, action learning and their own commitment to ongoing professional development.
