VP of Diversity & Inclusion at Sovereign Bank
David has been working for Sovereign Bank for the past 12 years, currently as the VP of Diversity and Inclusion. Starting his career in Human Resources as a temporary employee, then became a full time employee in the Network Technology field, transitioned over to Finance and back to Human Resources where he began working in the Diversity space since 2004.
With his strong background in Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Methodology that he uses to build and deliver an ongoing strategy linked to five diversity priorities which includes; Leadership Accountability, Workforce Inclusion, Customer Acquisition & Retention, Learning Culture and Corporate Social Responsibility.
All of these activities have lead up to various accolades and speaking engagements including, The Network Journal – 2008 40 under Forty Honoree, 2008 Savoy Magazine Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America. He has also appeared in the New York Times and The Daily News as well as speaking engagements; The Helsinki Commission, United Nations General Assembly and Notre Dame University.
He as also received the 2008 World Diversity Leadership Summit Corporate Diversity and Innovation Award at the United Nations. |
