Mentoring Chair
Fred Lutkefedder
 Read more about Fred
Currently, Fred is President of Exacta Business Advisors. He provides businesses with a knowledgeable business and HR advisor who can audit the company’s HR function to determine weaknesses in administration, and can also work in a strategic capacity to ensure that HR is a team player that justifies its role in providing the essential resources that the business needs. Smaller companies often cannot afford this expertise in a full-time employee, so the potential liability of not being in compliance with the increasing number and complexity of HR laws is greater. By providing the business-oriented HR oversight function, and by guiding the existing HR department in administering its responsibilities, he offers the company a part-time advisor with full-time credentials.
Fred has over 30 years experience in Finance and Accounting, with 15+ years assuming the additional role of administering the Human Resources function. He has worked in several industries, for both large and small companies, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Aramark, RCA Corp., and GE Corp. in Finance and Accounting, but gained extensive experience in HR from small companies, where being on the front line allowed him to approach HR both strategically and by administering compliance, benefits and other components of the HR function.
Fred has an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting from Drexel University, and an AS in Accounting from Peirce College. He is certified SPHR by the Society for Human Resource Management, and has been a member of Philadelphia SHRM for over six years. He is an accredited associate of the Institute for Independent Business, and is a certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor. Fred served four years in the U.S. Navy in various assignments, including two tours of duty with Fighter Squadron VF-11 on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Forrestal.
